Payment Methods

Paying should be the least interesting part of an order. This page sets out what we accept, who handles the money and what happens to your card details, so there is nothing to guess at when you reach the checkout.

What we accept

The following methods can be used on Africalandmarks:

The options available to you are shown at checkout; anything that is not offered there is not supported on your order.

How your details are handled

Your payment is processed by Shopify Payments, which operates to PCI-DSS standards, and every page of the checkout is protected by SSL/TLS encryption. Full card numbers and payment credentials are never stored on our servers — we see that a payment succeeded, not the card that made it.

Prices, tax and totals

All prices on the site are shown in US Dollars (USD). Before you confirm anything, the checkout shows the full total: the price of the goods plus any applicable sales tax. Standard shipping is free within the United States, with no minimum order. There are no handling charges, no surcharges and nothing added after you have clicked.

When the charge is taken

Your card is charged when the order is submitted, and a confirmation email follows within a few minutes. If it has not arrived, check your spam or junk folder first — and if it is not there either, write to support@africalandmarks.com and we will confirm the order from our side.

If a payment is refused

A declined payment almost always has an ordinary cause. Before trying again, it is worth working through the following:

• Check that the billing name, address and postcode match what your bank holds.
• Confirm that funds are available on the card.
• Look for a block or a spending limit set by your bank or card issuer.
• Try one of the other methods listed above.
