A set of silicone finger sleeves with small stainless blades, worn on the thumb and fingers so you can cut a stem the moment you have hold of it. The alternative — twisting fruit off by hand or putting down a full basket to find the clippers — is how plants get damaged and afternoons get long.
Sleeves: silicone, elastic and resistant to splitting, shielding fingers and nails during picking
Blades: stainless steel, sited on top of the thumb cutter for a clean, quick cut
Shapes: each cutter is shaped differently, so you can match the tool to the crop
Use: soft fruit, berries, vegetables, herbs and potted trimming
They keep nails clean through a long picking session and speed things up noticeably in a busy week.
Rinse and dry after use, keep the blades away from damp storage, and handle them as you would any sharp garden tool.
